tehreek dawat-e-faqr

a sufi movement

Welcome to Tehreek Dawat e Faqr official website. As its title shows, this Sufi movement is presently the only representative of the teachings of Faqr. In fact, Tehreek Dawat e Faqr is a Sufi movement whose main effort is to spread the teachings of Faqr, the soul of Islam and the true essence of Islam.

Faqr is the soul of Islam. The Holy prophet said: Faqr is my pride and it is from me. It is the path of attaining Divine vision and gnosis of Allah.

One who seeks gnosis, vision and esoteric knowledge of Allah is called seeker of Allah (Talib e Maula).

The desire for self realization (irfan e nafs) as well as to recognize the Creator urges a person to question or struggle to research. Consequently, Allah sent His Prophets, Messengers as well as Saints to guide mankind.

Ism e Allah Zaat is the personal name of Allah. Allah has granted man the best zikr of Allah i.e. invocation of Ism e Allah Zaat.

Murshid Kamil sanctifies the inciting innersel of a seeker and grants him the invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat.

Divine love (Ishq e Haqeeqi) is a necessity for perfect faith. The true believers are the Divine lovers. Their love for Allah surpasses all other feelings.

Majlis e Mohammadi is a place where Holy Prophet is eternally present along with Ahl al-Bayt and sacred Companions to guide the Divine seekers.

The Vision of Allah (Deedar e Elahi) is the greatest blessing of Allah bestowed upon mankind. The Mohammadan umma have been gifted with this sacred gift on the night of ascension at the request of Prophet Mohammad.

Insan e Kamil or the Universal Divine Man is the perfect spiritual guide of the era who is the embodiment of Prophet Mohammad and Allah Almighty.

Bayat the Arabic word for oath of allegiance. It is derived from the word Baee بیع . Its literal meaning is “trade or barter”.

What is Faqr?

Faqr is the true esoteric heritage of the Prophet Mohammad, and is the soul of Islam. Faqr is the way of Divine closeness.

Aim of Sufi Movement

The main aim of this Sufi movement is the revival of a strong spiritual relationship between Allah and Muslims.  Deteriorated spiritual relations have resulted in the decline of Muslims despite the fact it is the best umma. Along with the teachings of Faqr, this Sufi movement aims at redirecting Muslims from physical devotions of pretense to sanctification of soul, thus, making physical devotions acceptable in the court of Allah.

School of Thought of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr – The Sufi Movement

Sufi movement or Tehreek Dawat e Faqr promotes the school of thought of the Sufi Saints, al-Ghawth al-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani and Sultan ul Arifeen Sultan Bahoo who are the pioneers of Faqr. According to them, prosperous society is not achievable without esoteric purification of each of its members.

Difference betwee Believer (Momin) and Muslim

Only esoterically sanctified Muslims are believers. Moreover, Allah has pledged in the Quran to help believers but not the Muslims. Thus, believers are successful in this world and the hereafter. Therefore, Sufi movement invites the Mohammadan umma towards spiritual purification so that they achieve success in both the worlds.

It four stages are: Allahoo, Lillah, LaHoo and Hoo ( اَللّٰہُ لِلّٰہُ  لَہُ  ھُو  ). Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman gives its last stage for invocation called the sultan of invocations i.e. Hoo (Sultan-ul-Azkar).

Shaikh al-Akbar Mohiyuddin ibn Arabi says:

Hoo’ ( ھُو ) is the most elevated and the ultimate invocation of Mystics. (Al-Futuhat al-Makkiyya Vol-II Chp 5)

Sultan Bahoo says:
